Yesterday evening, Herbert Hainer received the 2011 Global Leadership Award from the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS) at a gala dinner in New York.
According to Jackson Janes, Executive Director of the Washington, DC-based think tank, “AICGS salutes Mr. Hainer for his outstanding leadership in the sports industry and for his enduring positive influence on the German-American partnership.”
During his speech Herbert Hainer said: “As anyone who knows me will tell you, leading the adidas Group is one of my life’s true passions – and rarely a day goes by when I don’t think that I am the luckiest guy on earth”.
