Welcome to Herzo: Behind the scenes of our brand-new website

Herzogenaurach. It’s not an easy place to locate on a map. It’s even harder to pronounce (seriously, I’ve given up after three years). But this unassuming German village was home to our founder Adi Dassler, it is the heart and soul of adidas and, of course, our global headquarters. With over 3,500 employees, 600 of whom are from outside Germany, and over 250 open positions currently – you can imagine how many times HR has heard “Herzo-what?!”.

That’s why we are so thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new website for you to experience Herzo: herzo.adidas-group.com. Designed to show prospective employees considering moving to Germany what it is like to live and work here, we wanted to feature first-hand accounts from our international employees who have relocated to Herzo for an opportunity of a lifetime at our headquarters.

A sneak peek into the adidas Group’s international employee population (Part III of III)

In Parts I and II of the International Mobility series, we showcased the diversity of our international employee population and provided insight into benefits offered to relocating employees to ensure the move is as stress-free as possible.

To wrap up this series, we thought it would make sense to share with you how it is possible to live and work abroad with the adidas Group. Currently, we have almost 700 employees exploring a whole new location with the company, who are either on a short-term assignment or have transferred to a second office – actually we have a good few who have worked in three, four and even five locations! But we do hire employees from abroad externally as well, as you can see below.

The adidas Group’s International Mobility Team oversees such movement and provides the needed support to move our employees around the world.
