I am just back from the Outdoor Retailer 2011 Show in Salt Lake City which is the most important trade show for the US outdoor industry. It’s where orders are written, new accounts are found, new products are launched and connections are made. Therefore some Outdoor guys from the global product and communication team (one of them being me) flew over to support the US sales team presenting the spring/summer 2012 collection. As one big highlight adidas won the Editor´s Choice Award for the technical winter boot called Terrex Conrex from the vertical and important “Backpacker” Magazine. Some athletes such as Sasha DiGiulian who won the overall Sport Climbing World Championships in Arco (Italy) a couple of weeks ago (see a video from the duel women’s final here) and Thomas Huber also visited the show. He was into product presentation, talking to industry persons and giving interviews in “scary” places. But take a look yourself.
