Yoga Rebel and CrossFit Champion present Reebok at FIBO in Cologne

Last week, the FIBO, the world’s leading international trade show for fitness, wellness and health, took place in Cologne, Germany. Reebok used the opportunity to present its fitness strength at this well-known platform. Yoga Rebel and Reebok testimonial Tara Stiles from NYC, USA, and Annie Thorisdottir, two-time Reebok CrossFit Games Champion, attended to bring the Reebok “Live With Fire” campaign to life. As a PR trainee, I’m currently working in the Reebok Marketing team for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and had the chance to lead the PR work regarding FIBO and Tara Stiles’ visit. What an incredible experience!

adidas employees “Jump Into The Year Of Running” to celebrate Boost

For many days, weeks and even longer, there has been a lot of excited talk and a lot of rumours around the launch of the Energy Boost within the adidas Group. After this groundbreaking innovation finally hit the stage in New York this past Wednesday, it was about time for adidas employees to celebrate the running revolution. At our headquarters in Herzogenaurach, for example, employees had the chance to try out the “Energy Boost” running shoe and to take a crazy jumping picture on a trampoline.

An unforgettable Three Point Shootout

You know the feeling when you experience something so fantastic, you just cannot stop smiling for the rest of the day… Thursday definitely was one of those days for me!

Thanks to an employee raffle on our adidas intranet, I got the chance to meet German Basketball champions and Beko-Cup Winner, the Brose Baskets Bamberg. Captain Casey Jacobsen and the rest of the team visited the headquarters of their new supplier adidas to pick up their jerseys for the 2012/2013 season. Furthermore the other 4 raffle winners and I had the opportunity to have a little three point shootout with them. Since I was a kid, I’ve seen the Brose Baskets team a lot but always only from the stands cheering for them. Leadership through innovation – introducing the adidas IT Innovation Team

Recently I had the chance to accompany Chris Zagel from the IT Innovation Team during his visit to Georg Simon Ohm University in Nuremberg where he gave a lecture to master students on the course of Marketing, Innovation and Technology Management. Chris presented on the topic of ’IT Innovation at the adidas Group’ and provided some insights into new technological ideas and developments the team is currently working on.

The two-hour lecture was really interesting for me for two main reasons: First of all, I joined the adidas Group just recently after leaving university and it was cool to see how students – just as I was not very long ago – react when they get an insight into the adidas world. The second reason is that I am very keen on getting insights into as many aspects of the company as possible. The adidas Group believes that innovation is essential to sustainable leadership in our industry. Therefore I particularly appreciated the offer to join Chris’ lecture in order to learn more about the IT aspect of innovation at adidas. Let me share a couple of my most important findings.

UEFA Champions League Final 2012: adidas employees go ‘all in’ for their teams

Only three days to go until the UEFA Champions League Final 2012 takes place in Munich. Only three more days before it is FC Bayern vs. FC Chelsea, Schweinsteiger vs. Lampard, “Stern des Südens” vs. “Go Blues”, Germany vs. England and Red vs. Blue.

Here at the adidas Group’s headquarters, where almost only people with a huge passion for sport come together, there is no day without excited discussions and predictions as to who will win the Final. Therefore we wanted to know which team our colleagues will support on May 19th and asked “… Are you red or are you blue?”
