How cool would it be to walk down your local high street and see yourself in a poster 6-foot high in an adidas store window?

Well, that’s an experience one of our employees will soon encounter. Vicki Ng has recently been selected to represent our business in our new retail recruiting campaign, as the face of adidas Group Retail. Vicki embodies all we look for in a retail employee: welcoming, dedicated, fun and passionate. So it made perfect sense to use her to portray the attributes we want from our future team members. Vicki was flown to the UK for a day-long photo session, in which she had professionals do her hair and make-up, numerous outfit changes and lots of fun!

Born to be a model

I attended the photo session with Vicki, and I have to say she was a true professional; she took little directing and often used her own initiative to pull out some great moves. The camera totally loved her and we are thrilled with the selection of images we managed to capture! We all had so much fun and lots of laughs; it was also a lot of hard work, but Vicki trooped right on with a big smile …

“When I was asked to participate in a photo session for one of our global retail recruitment campaigns, I thought, wow! I was flattered that they had approached me as an employee, and not just gone for a professional model or stock imagery. I said “yes” to the amazing opportunity to represent my favorite brands and flew to Manchester with Jen to attend the ad session. It impressed me that they had made the effort to show the true face of our employees. And they made it fun!

To be surrounded by cameras, lights and agency people was a bit overwhelming at first, but having some of the team members there, cheering me on, put me at ease. So I gave them my best with jump shots, karate kicks and signature poses! The global scale of this campaign has yet to hit me, so I’ll wait for the day I get a phone call from my mom or friends who have seen me on one of the advertisements, walking past a Reebok or adidas NEO store. Big thanks to the Talent Acquisition team for including me!”
