I’m Gesa and I’m product test manager at Global Footwear Quality at adidas. This team looks amongst other things after the quality of the material, executes “finish goods tests” as well as extensive wear and fit tests. Personally, I am responsible for managing the footwear product testing process for the Running category. @Anna: you are absolutely right: this is indeed an Adi Dassler statue right next to Gesa. Employees who had the pleasure to personally work with our founder said, that the place where he liked to be most was directly where the action was and where he was able to watch and interact with the athletes. This is why the statue is “sitting” in the “Adi Dassler Stadium”.
