Running two and a half times around the globe in one year

I’m Gesa and I’m product test manager at Global Footwear Quality at adidas. This team looks amongst other things after the quality of the material, executes “finish goods tests” as well as extensive wear and fit tests. Personally, I am responsible for managing the footwear product testing process for the Running category. The video below will give you some more insights into my job and how it helps to achieve our goal of matching and exceeding consumers’ expectations in terms of fit and comfort, performance and product quality. So if you’d like to find out what this article’s headline is all about, check out the video. Enjoy!

Two and a half times around the world! That definitely explains why Adidas always exceeds expectations. Gesa, are you sitting beside the statue of Adi?

@Anna: you are absolutely right: this is indeed an Adi Dassler statue right next to Gesa. Employees who had the pleasure to personally work with our founder said, that the place where he liked to be most was directly where the action was and where he was able to watch and interact with the athletes. This is why the statue is “sitting” in the “Adi Dassler Stadium”.

@Rafal: Thanks for showing interest in our company and for considering adidas as a potential partner to bring your idea to life. However, please understand that it is our policy not to accept unsolicited submissions of designs, inventions or ideas from persons external to the adidas Group. I am sorry for any disappointment caused.
